By signing this form, I, for myself and an minor children for whom I am responsible, acknowledge the risk of injury relating to participation in clean up and trail maintenance activities and I agree to release Shenango River Watchers, and any landowner on whose property I am volunteering, from any liability for property damage, injury, dismemberment or death to myself or any minor children, during this activity.

I authorize Shenango River Watchers to photograph me and any minor children for whom I am responsible during this activity and to utilize my and their likeness in its print or digital publications.

If you are a parent or guardian signing for a minor, please read the statement and sign below. I affirm that I am the parent/guardian of the above named participant/volunteer, and I will be responsible for the safety and actions of the child I am signing for.

Lake to Lake Paddle Challenge 2026

The 5th Annual Lake to Lake Paddle Challenge - Covered Bridge Edition, is a timed paddlecraft challenge for all skill levels. The event will be held on the class 1, Shenango River Water Trail. This year, due to a bridge closed in Greenville, participants have the choice of a 15 Mile Sprint Challenge Competitive Class or a 15 Mile Adventure Challenge, starting at Kidds Mill. Shenango River Watchers co-hosts this event with Visit Mercer County and we provide the many volunteers needed for the day to be a success. See individual shifts below for more detailed information.

Registration Table - 1st shift Assist at registration tables at Kidds Mill launch site. Participants will drop off their kayaks and sign-in/register. The sprint class race begins at 11am and the adventure class group will have a rolling start right after the sprint class leaves the launch site. Please dress for the weather, and bring bug spray and water. Kidds Mill launch: 99 W Kidds Mill Rd, Greenville, PA 16125	Sat, Aug 22, 2026 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM	2 volunteers needed	Choose

Communicate any emergencies with event organizer/radio operators. Please dress for the weather, and bring a camp chair, binoculars (suggested), drinking water and bug spray. Sweeper (on river in your kayak) Kidds Mill to New Hamburg The sprint class race begins at 11am and the adventure class group will do a rolling start right after the first group leaves the launch site. You will launch behind the final participant and stay behind all paddlers. Ending time is approximate. You will bring your own kayak and be responsible for following behind the last racer to ensure participants complete the race safely or get to a launch area where they can be picked up. We encourage you to sign up as a sweeper if you have extensive kayaking experience and water safety training. This is not a job for a kayaking novice. Launch at Kidds Mill: 99 W Kidds Mill Rd., Greenville, PA 16125, and pull out at New Hamburg Launch, 627 Hamburg Rd, Fredonia, PA 16124.
